Does the cold weather already have you sniffling then beat that cold with this not so average favorite. Instead of your traditional chicken noodle soup substitute it with Executive Chef of Board Operations, chef Arthur Dill’s favorite, Kelp Noodle Soup.


Kelp noodle soup is a great comfort food and is packed with nutrients that are beneficial to your health. The recipe is simple and can be made in a cinch. It is great topped with oyster crackers and once taking a bite it’s like wrapping yourself in a warm blanket.


Next time you are at the grocery store make sure to pick up these additional items to add to your favorite chicken noodle soup recipe:

Kelp Noodles-

Semolina Flour

Egg Yolks

Kelp


Soup-

Onions

Carrots

Celery

Fresh Roasted Chicken


When serving the dish chef Arthur states that fresh homemade dinner rolls are the perfect addition to this soup and also a “well-made chicken stock,” he notes is key. It is a wonderful soup to have pre-made and packed away for your weekly meal prep. “It is great for a quiet dinner at home,” added chef Arthur. Even the kiddos will enjoy this healthy alternative to your typical chicken soup.


You can also make a side salad or a grilled cheese sandwich on Italian bread to accompany it and create more of a meal.


Chef Arthur believes that kelp is a staple in the kitchen and will continue to grow as more people become aware of this sea vegetable. “Kelp is very much underutilized but also extremely healthy for you. It changes global consumerism which will lead to a change," he said.


All in all, this kelp noodle soup is a great meal to bring to the table and with that in mind chef Arthur reminds everyone to “be well and eat kelp!”
